Friends,

This will be a brief note to let you know that we’re starting up a new way to stay in touch. You should receive an email about this very soon that will provide some more details. Essentially, we want to provide a newsletter that is more a collection of several brief items concerning upcoming events or things that are happening in your life than having a lengthier weekly note that’s heavy on content. In order to do this, we have to send this through Mailchimp, so, you will have to actively subscribe to the newsletter in order to receive it. We can’t just migrate this list over to Mailchimp. If you’d like to receive this, be sure to subscribe when the invitation hits your inbox. I’ll remain in touch, but it won’t be weekly, and it will likely take the form of a post on our website. I’ll probably post every 4-6 weeks—and the newsletter will have a link.

In the meantime, I’ve got a request: I’d like to hear from you if you’d be interested in contributing to our Sunday morning live-stream service. By contributing, I mean submitting a video segment on a topic, participating in a conversation with a couple of others as part of the service, reading a scripture text, providing an offering statement, or leading a segment on prayer. Maybe you’d like to highlight something about our community that all of us should know, so you create a video that shows us what we need to know as you explain why this is a kingdom issue. Maybe you’d like to profile someone in our community that deserves some recognition or support for what they are doing during these extraordinary times, so, like a news journalist you interview them and help us get to know them. I’d like us to find ways to stay connected virtually, but you’re an essential feature of this, so let me know if you’re in and how you’d like to be in on this.
