This Sunday we’ll continue our Advent theme: It’s a Wonderful Life, with the encouragement to “Believe it!” If you’ve seen the movie, our clip this Sunday takes place after George realizes the truth of what he’s experienced with Clarence, Angel second-class. And while the angel might only have been “second” class, Clarence delivered a master class on perspective that made all the difference for George Bailey and those around him. How might that work for us? That’s what I want to explore with you this Sunday.

Sunday afternoon will find many of us gathered for “Snack and Sing.” It’s a time of informal gathering with friends, light refreshments, games, and Christmas songs. This is a way and a place to eliminate hurry from your life as you rest in the joy of being with friends and family. It happens from 4 to 6 Sunday afternoon in Fellowship and Heritage Halls. 

Not too long ago, I cut short a message that explored how the idea of church is changing. I’m going to finish that message on the first Sunday of January. If you want to know “the rest of the story,” with practical suggestions for what change could look like, come that day, and I’ll look forward to the conversations we’ll have going forward. Let’s continue to live into the life God has given us in Jesus—He is wonderful, and so is the life he makes possible!
